From the cover notes:

These sixty six historic sides are among the most important and influential in the history of R&R, tracing Buddy's progress from his earliest Rockabilly styled demos, in June 1955, to a memorable session in New York, in June 1958. Arguably the most influential Rock ‘n' Roller of all time, Buddy Holly was R&R's first casualty, dying in a plane crash in January 1959 when he was just 22 years of age, still very much at the peak of his popularity and creativity.

These sixty six historic sides are among the most important and influential in the history of R&R, tracing Buddy's progress from his earliest Rockabilly styled demos, in June 1955, to a memorable session in New York, in June 1958. Included are the classic hits “That'll Be The Day”, “Words Of Love”, “Not Fade Away”. “Oh Boy”, “Peggy Sue”, “Maybe Baby”, “Rave On”, “Thi nk It Over”, “It's So Easy” and many more! Buddy & The Crickets' music is truly timeless, and his records still sound every bit as fresh, exhilarating and powerful today as when they were first recorded.
