From the cover notes: "From 1952 onwards, thirty six cuts detailing Buddy Holly in his days with Bob Montgomery performing country music as Buddy and Bob and - after Elvis Presley's highly influential 1955 visit to Lubbock - Holly's subsequent conversion to rock'n'roll. Including the only known recording of Buddy on mandolin. undubbed versions of three Buddy and Bob songs, Holly's first forays into his new music - an undubbed "Baby Let's Play House" and the self-produced Clovis demos.
